General Information
Universidad de los Andes, since its origins, has been committed to providing integral formation to its students, with the conviction that a broad education provides the basis to face a changing world. Integral formation is made up of various activities, experiences and environments that encourage the student to develop new skills and abilities. In fact, students, in addition to meeting the different career requirements, also have various opportunities to complement their integral formation. Among these opportunities are academic and cultural internships, double degrees and programs, international exchanges, sports classes and participation in academic events developed by Industrial Engineering Department and the University. Also, research groups of the Department are entering new lines of work in which the participation of students is required to strengthen them.
Industrial Engineering of UniAndes has differentiated itself from the traditional ways of teaching this discipline in most universities in Colombia and in the world. Its academic programs maintain a mixture of mathematics, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities as the guiding axis of the career path of its students.
