Camil Martinez is a Systems and Control Engineer (Industrial Engineering) from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. He joined the Department in 2019. After eight years of industry experience working at Hewlett Packard and BP Lubricants decided to return to university to engage in research. He earned his PhD in Supply Chain and Logistics at the University of Maryland in 2018. From there he moved to Colombia to run the Center Latin American Innovation in Logistics (CLI) in Bogotá. Camil published her first paper on the 2016 Panama Canal expansion in Transportation Research Part E magazine. She is a Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP-APICS), has been a professor of technology applications at the University of Maryland and a conference speaker on these topics.
