Why studying the Master’s of Science in Analytics at Universidad de los Andes?

With the pervasive development and deployment of digital technologies, organizations have been developing an increasing capacity to collect and store large amounts of data. The organizations that can transform this (these) data into valuable information to support their decision-making processes will have a clear advantage over their competitors.

An Analytics professional is capable of leading the process of transformation of data into information for decision making. This process begins with the extraction of the data from their respective sources and continue with (to) the transformation in structured systems that feed the relevant descriptive, predictive and prescriptive models. These models, based on mathematical and computational techniques, generate quantitative information with different perspectives. Finally, to conclude the process, Analytics professionals must be able to synthesize and presents analysis results in an effective manner to provide added value to organizations through high impact decisions.

This first Master of Science in Analytics program in Colombia, is supported by both the solidly grounded traditional and the modern vision of the industrial engineering at Universidad de los Andes, where systems are assessed based on mathematical modeling, data analysis, computational simulation with an integrates, systemic approach. The program counts with the physical, teaching and research resources that have placed Universidad de los Andes as one of the best universities in the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) University Rankings of Latin America and in the global QS World University Rankings.
