Since Jorge started as an Instructor, his work has focused on joining data analysis, mathematical modeling, and computational simulation to solve problems in transportation systems, micro logistics, telecommunication networks, and energy-distribution systems.
Additionally, he has worked as Short-Term Consultant (STC) for the World Bank Group in a project concerning transportation analytics; as a Contractor for Bogotá’s Planning Department in a project to classify the urban road network for Bogotá’s Land Management Plan; and in TransMilenio in a project to estimate the user demand in Bogotá’s Integrated Public Transport System.
Before becoming an Instructor, Jorge developed web and mobile applications for various transportation startups.
